JCC concludes 2018 with a year in review & projections for 2019
JCC’s traditional holiday reception on December 4, 2018, began with a panel discussion on the topic of “Glancing Back and Looking Ahead: 2018 Lessons and 2019 Trends – Sanctions, Business, Compliance.”
Panelists were Aidan Manktelow, Economic Analyst Emerging Markets, formerly at EIU, Laurence Ponty, Associate, LALIVE GenevaAlexander Yudovich, Lawyer and Certified Tax Accountant, Partners Lennert Rechtsanwälte, and moderator, Evgeny Zhilin, Partner, Quorus GmbH. They reviewed events in 2018 and attempted to look into the crystal ball for 2019 on doing business and the legal situation between Switzerland and Eurasia.
They discussed the following topics:
Sanctions – Grounds for optimism or further pessimism?
Banking/ finance and compliance – All automatic from now on or still evolving?
Successful FDI/Trade in Eurasia – Which partners and sectors will be winners in the new year?
This was followed by a networking reception. A good time was had by all!
