13th Switzerland-Ukraine Joint Committee Session takes place in Kyiv

The 13th Session of the Joint Committee Switzerland-Ukraine finished its work yesterday, December 2, 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

H.E. Mr. Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine headed the Ukrainian Delegation. Deputy Heads of the Commission were H.E. Mr. Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine and Trade Representative of Ukraine and H.E. Mr. Artem Rybchenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation.

H.E. Mr. Erwin Bollinger, Ambassador, Delegate of the Federal Council for Trade Agreements, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) Bern Co-Chaired the Commission for Switzerland. Deputy Head was H.E. Mr. Claude Wild, Ambassador fo Switzerland to Ukraine. The Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus (JCC) was represented by Dorit Sallis, Managing Director.

The fruitful discussion focused on the economic dimension of the bilateral cooperation. Switzerland is looking forward to continue on open, constructive and regular dialog between the Ukrainian and Swiss Governments, business associations and experts to eliminate barriers to attracting new investments, to proceed with running bilateral projects and to start new initiatives.

Dorit Sallis presented the full program of events organized by JCC in 2021 – the Year of Ukraine at JCC (9 events). The webinars focused on key sectors ripe for FDI – energy, agribusiness, pharma/healthcare and IT. JCC events also showcased Ukraine’s privatization program, Ukraine as a nearshoring destination and legal/regulatory developments for FDI. Diia.City and Ukraine’s big infrastructure program was in the program. JCC will continue to promote Swiss trade and investment in Ukraine as one of its leading markets through a rich program of events organized by its JCC Ukraine Chapter.
