Switzerland–Azerbaijan Business Forum | Bern
Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC) was pleased to contribute to the Switzerland–Azerbaijan Business Forum in Bern, held alongside the 10th Session of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Swiss Confederation.
At the Forum, Nikolaus Kohler, the President of JCC Switzerland–Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus presented the Chamber and its mission. The programme was organised and moderated by Leyla Baghirzade, Head of the Azerbaijani Chapter and Board Member of JCC Switzerland–Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus, and delivered in partnership with Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The Forum brought together senior government representatives and business leaders to advance a practical agenda for deepening trade and investment, strengthening direct B2B engagement, and identifying concrete cooperation pathways. Discussions highlighted Azerbaijan’s favourable business and investment environment, its growing role in regional connectivity and logistics, opportunities linked to free economic and industrial zones, and green energy potential—alongside Switzerland’s continued commitment to open, rules-based economic cooperation.
We extend our sincere thanks to H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Ms. Andrea Rauber Saxer (SECO), Co-Chair of the Joint Commission; Ambassador; Delegate of the Federal Council for Trade Agreements; and Head of Bilateral Economic Relations at SECO. We also thank our institutional partners and speakers, including AZPROMO, Switzerland Global Enterprise, 4SIM Azarbaycan / C4IR Azerbaijan, and WAIPA, as well as the companies who shared real cooperation cases.
We look forward to the follow-up conversations and partnerships that will build long-term value for both economies.
