Frequently asked questions
What is the Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC)?
JCC is the central, unifying hub for Eurasian business activity in Switzerland. The chamber supports Swiss companies doing business in Eastern Europe (non-EU), Central Asia, the South Caucasus and the Gulf – and companies from those regions in Switzerland.
Which countries does JCC cover?
JCC covers countries across three regions: Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Moldova, while Russia and Belarus are currently not active), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanisatan), the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia).
How do I become a member?
Fill in the registration form on the Become a Member page. Choose a membership category, provide your personal and company data, and submit. The office reviews applications within about one week and sends a confirmation with the invoice.
What does membership cost?
The membership fee is paid annually and covers the calendar year (January to December). The fee depends on the membership category – corporate, SME, start-up or individual. You will receive an invoice yearly.
What are the benefits of membership?
Members benefit from reduced event tickets, access to members-only briefings and the extended newsletter, network introductions, visibility on the members page, and support with trouble-shooting when they encounter obstacles doing business in our regions.
Do members pay less for events?
Yes. Every event has a member price and a regular price. The difference is often 50% or more – frequent event attendance alone usually pays for the membership.
How can I pay for event tickets?
You can pay online by card during registration (powered by Stripe) or choose payment by invoice. Your seat is reserved in both cases.
What services does JCC offer?
Networking events, regional information and briefings, new business introductions, and trouble-shooting support when members encounter obstacles in our regions. JCC also runs expert chapters, for example the Legal & Tax Chapter.
