Every year, a Joint Economic Committee Switzerland-Kazakhstan meets in one of the two countries to discuss the economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Kazakh delegation was led by Minister of Trade Shakkaliev, the Swiss delegation by State Secretary Rauber Saxer. Also present were representatives of associations such as S-GE, SECO and JCC. On behalf of JCC, Nikolaus Kohler, Chairman of the Board, was present. He raised practical problems faced by JCC members in Kazakhstan and, at the same time, presented proposed solutions on how these can be resolved, thereby improving Kazakhstan's attractiveness as a business location.
