JCC-Rieter Uzbekistan Chapter inaugurated at Switzerland-Uzbekistan Business Roundtable

JCC and Rieter launched a joint Uzbekistan Chapter on the occasion of the Switzerland-Uzbekistan Business Roundtable. The event which took place on June 12, 2019 at Rieter Management, Winterthur brought Dr. A. Ikramov, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and an Uzbek delegation together with Swiss companies interested in the Uzbek market.

Marcel Pawlicek, CEO, Burckhardt Compression & President, JCC and Dr. Norbert Klapper, CEO, Rieter Group opened the roundtable. This was following by a keynote presentaion by Dr. Ikramov and representatives of the Ministry of Investmetn and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Uztextile Association. JCC member Nodir Ayuplov, Head, Schneider Group Uzbekistan and Thomas Anwander, General Counsel Rieter Group and Chair, JCC Uzbekistan Chapter also made statements. We were honored to welcome Michael Künzle, the Mayor of Winterthur as a guest speaker.

The official program was followed by a networking lunch where dried fruits and nuts from Uzbekistan were on the menu. Guests admired the display of ceramics and textiles that were brought by the Uzbek delegation while enjoying the delicacies on the menu.
